Choose Between Cell Phone Repair Or A New Phone?

Just like any piece of technology, cell phones can occasionally break or malfunction. This leaves many consumers wondering what their options are for cell phone repair. These depend primarily on whether the device is under warranty and what the defect is. Here are some steps to help you determine how to repair it, or if it is worth repairing.

Troubleshoot The Issue

If the problem seems to be with the software of the device, such as the phone freezing or not displaying menus correctly, the issue can sometimes be fixed without having to repair it. Try restarting the phone or resetting it to factory default settings. You can call the manufacturer's support line for troubleshooting tips.

Determine If The phone is under warranty. Unless you benefit from an extended warranty, the industry standard warranty for cell phones is 1 year from purchase. Take note, that most warranties do not cover things such as physical or liquid damage. If your phone is under warranty, contact your service provider or the phone's manufacturer to see how it can be serviced.

For Out Of Warranty Phones

If it is not covered by the warranty, don't despair, there are still some options available for cell phone repair. The only difference is that you will have to pay for the cost of repairs. You should first try calling the manufacturer to see if they have any options for repair or replacement of out-of-warranty devices. Some companies, such as Apple and BlackBerry, can sell you a refurbished phone of the same model if you send in the one which is defective. The cost is far lower than purchasing a new phone.

You can also check the internet or local business directories for some independent cell phone stores (Nehawireless store in Jonesboro Ar) that provide cell phone repair services. Or, if you have experience working with electronics, you can often make the repairs yourself by ordering replacement parts online. For example, if your screen is broken, you can buy a new screen for your phone and install it yourself.

While there are many options available for cellul phone repair, there is one important thing to consider if your phone is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Try to determine whether it will be economically worth it to get your phone fixed. In certain cases, the cost of parts and labor would exceed the value of your phone. Obviously, you would be better off buying a new unit in that case.

Does Your Computer Start Slow and Run Slow?

So many times we receive Customer in our shop that my computer starts so slow or it freezes up when it tries to start. This can be an annoying problem but it does not have to be. We find many of these computers are bogged down with programs trying to start when the computer is booting up. In today's society when we want things fast and now, waiting for a computer to start sometimes is like watching paint dry, it takes forever. Most of the time it just takes a little tweaking of the computer operating system to get it too speed up when the operating system is loading.

When computer systems come to our work bench we find that sometimes there is as many as twenty or thirty programs trying to load and run at the same time when the windows operating system is loading. This can cause major problems especially if the Random Access Memory is low. With low RAM memory in the computer and you have this many programs trying to load along with the operating system trying to load this can cause the computer system to malfunction and all of a sudden you receive what is called the blue screen of death. When this happens customers tend to freak out and call there computer system dead and run out and purchase a newer and hopefully faster computer system or they call an expensive computer repair company. Most of the time a resolution to the situation can easily resolve the issue and save the customer hundreds of dollars in repair cost. Again with just a few simple tweaks you can have your computer system running like new again.

First let's look at the lower right hand corner of your computer screen. See all those little icons down by the clock. These little icons are software programs that are running in the background and what is causing the computer to run so slow. These are also computer programs that start loading at the time the operating system is trying to load when you turn the computer system on. Most of these programs do not need to be running when the computer is running or need to be loading at the time the computer system is started.

To shut these programs off and not to turn on when the computer is fired up we need to do a little tweaking to the "System Configuration Utility". This may sound scary and it can be to most computer beginners. In reality it is not as difficult as it sounds. First turn your computer system on, after the computer is turned on and running smoothly go to the start button in the lower left hand corner of the screen. Click on start and then find the "run" button when the start window appears. When you find "run" click on it and then you will have another window appear. After this window appears type in "MSCONFIG" then click on OK button. Another window will appear called "System Configuration Utility", this is where you want to be, take a look at the group of tabs just under the name. Click on the tab that is called "startup", this is where you will be doing some tweaking.

Here you will uncheck the programs that you feel you do not need running all the time. Most of them remember do not need to be running just because your computer is running. Now you may want to Google the one's that you do not recognize to figure out just exactly what it is and if it needs to be running in order to have your operating system to run correctly. Always lean in the area of caution, if you are not sure then leave it alone. Remember if it has a check in the box then it will run when you start your computer. So be careful and uncheck all the boxes you know do not need to be running.

When you have finished tweaking the start up options and you have turned off all unnecessary programs then this would be a good time to clean up your registry and really make your computer system run like clock work. To do this check out Registry Error and Problems and get help with cleaning up your computer registry.

When you have accomplished all this you should find that your compute should be running like the day you bought it. The computer should be back to normal.

Ways to Broken Your iPhone

iPhone's are very durable phones and can stand up to a lot of punishment. However there are still some weaknesses and some sure fire ways to break your iPhone that will guarantee you need iPhone repairs. Here are some of the top methods for breaking your iPhone so you know to avoid them.

Putting Your iPhone in Your Pocket With Your Keys: This is a rookie mistake but one that's easy to make. The problem is that keys are very sharp and iPhone broken glass repairs are often needed due to the size and importance of the iPhone screen. Make sure then that you keep your keys in the pocket that has your wallet in. For those with han bags the same is true so you need to find a separate pocket for your iPhone that's away from anything sharp or heavy in the bag and thereby avoid getting lots of iPhone repairs.

Playing the 'Pubg Game': The Pubg game on the iPhone is good fun requiring you to swing the iPhone as though it were a Pubg so that the motion sensors can detect the strength of your swing and give you a 'realistic' experience. Fun though this is however, it also has one large problem in that it results in lots of people slipping and actually throwing their iPhone's hundreds of metres and needing iPhone repairs. Many other games have the same problem such as the karate chopping game that requires you to 'chop' the iPhone through bricks. Of course you shouldn't avoid these games entirely, that would be a little drastic. However what you should do is to be aware of this problem when you use these games and to invest in an iPhone 3g case that has a bit of friction for improved grip. And avoid letting other people have a go...

Bumping Into Things: It's a very common mistake with all phones, but it's more of a problem still with iPhone's due to the size of the screen and due to it's importance. Basically here many people keep their iPhone's in their pockets facing outwards. Then when they bump into a table corner with their leg the point goes right through the screen and you need iPhone broken glass repair. To avoid this, try turning your iPhone around so that the glass faces inwards towards your leg.

Dropping it When Taking a Photo: This is also a very common problem, exacerbated by the fairly oddly located photo button (it's on the screen rather than being an actual 'button' as such for you to press). This means that when people are in clubs dancing, or at a crowded concert, they turn the phone around to face them and hold it extended at arm's length before trying to photograph themselves. This of course regularly results in your arm getting knocked or in you getting pushed and the iPhone going down beneath your feet which will break it to start with and get it trampled on top of that. Only take photos when you have space and calm then, and where possible get someone else to hold it for you.

Cell Phone Batteries Replacement

All most everyone can afford a cell phone. As a matter of fact, it is common practice to upgrade your phone before it needs repairs or the battery needs to be replaced. With all the newer models and high tech accessories, it's no wonder that your cell phone keeps changing with the times.

However, there are individuals who wish to keep the phone they have and replace parts when necessary. These replacement parts are available at manufacturer outlets. Manufacturers always keep a supply of spare replacement batteries compatible with the models they are selling. Even if you own an older model, you can usually find a replacement battery through the manufacturer of the phone.

Make sure that the replacement battery you are buying fits the model of the phone that you have. Used in the right manner, a phone battery can last quite long without problems. However, if the replacement battery is counterfeit, it could lead to all kinds of problems including overcharging, overheating and leaking. There have been instances where cell phones blew up because of leakage in the battery. All manufacturer batteries are sealed and come equipped with safety devices that prevent the battery from over charging. Most counterfeit cell phone batteries do not have this device fitted into their circuitry and cannot detect when the battery overcharges. Overcharging the battery might lead to overheating the circuit setting fit into the phone. If the circuit board fuses out, it could destroy the cell phone.

Although the low price of a counterfeit battery sounds tempting, in the long run it is much more economical and safer to go with a battery manufactured by the cell phone company. You can find replacement batteries at most electronic stores, or you can go online to the manufacturer.
